It has a built in service management tool based on ITIL framework, which helps the customer to establish an integrated service desk cum service management facility.

    The underlying technology platform used in GSD is SAP Solution Manager Rel 7.x. Therefore, SAP GSD is a perfect match for managing any SAP basedAMS servicedesk as well as service management requirements. However, GSD can be used for management of any other (Non-SAP) AMS service requirements as well as infrastructure and data centre service requirements.

     

    GSD is developed on a cloud computing technical architecture where customer does not need to procure any hardware or software. SAP GSD services are offered through a “Software as a Service (SaaS)” based delivery model where customers can expect to use the GSD service on an immediate basis.
