college name
VVN College, a unit of VVN Trust, came into existence in 1980 with the blessings of Goddess Sri Vasavamba. The Management took over the administration of Maharashtra Mahila Vidyalaya, an old educational institution which was established in the year 1922. For the past 32 years it has been catering to the needs of education in general and women’s education in particular in the surrounding areas.

When the new Management took over the reins of the institution there were only High School section and Kannada Primary & Middle School, with 300 students in each. Considering the educational needs of the locality, the Management added new sections. The Nursery section began in 1981, English Primary and College in 1982. A BBM wing was added to the college in 1995. VVN Institute of Management Technology & Research(M.B.A.course from Bangalore University) was launched in the year 2001. The latest incorporation of VVN Trust is Vasavi Institute of Management and Advanced Studies(VIMAS), which began in 2007.
