TransPSF and TransACF


The raw water is filtered through a filter media of multi-grade sand & pebbles (PSF) unit in order to remove suspended matter, turbidity and colloidal matter present in the feed water. The PSF is made-up of MS FRP coated. Internally it is fitted with inlet distributor and bottom collecting system. Externally it is equipped with extra strong rigid PVC or MS frontal pipe work with necessary valves & fittings.

This unit is charged with different grades of filtering sand. Suspended matter gets en-trapped when raw water is passed in downward direction through layers of different grades of sand bed. The PSF is isolated for backwash when the pressure drop across the filtering bed is more than specified limit.


The Activated carbon filter is used to de-chlorinate the raw water that has been chlorinated and also sometimes for removal of organic impurities depending on the suspended matter content in the water to be filtered, it is used after a sand filter.

Various sizes depending on the rate of flow and quality of feed water can be designed.

Trans - RODM:

The treatment scheme for RODM process start with the Feed water being pumped to the RO module through 05-micron cartridge system for removal of suspended impurities. The treated outlet water from RO is almost free from bacteria & virus and other dissolved solids is directed to demineralisation cartridges for further purification and removal of dissolved ions. The treated water from RO is stored in a HDPE reservoir. The stored water is pumped again through DI cartridges for further purification and being the conductivity to less than 5 micro mhos. The DI water is stored in separate HDPE reservoir.

There the water is circulated through a set of multiple mixed bed cartridges to achieve required resistivity of treated water. The treated water from the final storage tank is circulated and taken through UV system and final fine micron filtration system for point of use. The system is designed with auto storage water level controller for production of treated water as and when it is required. Hence, the treated water is always ready in the reservoir for usage.


Trans-DM models are designed for specific Water Quality requirement. The simple DM system would be Two bed DM system. We Three Bed and four Bed system can also be supplied for specific water quality requirement.

Demineralisation or Deionisation of water consists in the removal from it of all water-dissolved substances i.e. of all Cations and Anions.

The raw water is first treated in Hydrogen cation exchange column in which the mass of cations and others are removed (retained) and replaced by the cation hydrogen. After this, water mainly contains anions and it is directed to Anion column in which the column is built up of anion exchange material that retains all anions of strong acids and permits the passage of anion for complete demineralisation.

The conductivity meter provided on the panel is for testing the out coming treated water from the ANION column. The reading of 10 or less micromhos in the conductivity meter shows that the out coming water is of good quality. If it is above, the DM plant (cation & anion columns) has to be regenerate with Hydrochloric acid and Sodium Hydroxide.

Multistage Demineralization system is also required in some industries when the water volume is higher and the service requirement is required to be lower.
